SOLUTION: This displacement measuring apparatus has a detector input means 21, an origin setting means 23, a counting processing means 22, a counting area judging means 24 and a plurality of counting area output means 24 and the counting area judging means 24 performs at least one judging processing out of categories of 'coincidence', 'above' and 'below' for a split counting area with specified counts. The counting area judging means 24 sends an output to at least one of the plurality of counting area output means 251-25n corresponding to the split counting areas.
