摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power dissipation and to lower the temperature by intercepting an idle signal transmitted to an application program(AP) from an operating system(OS), deciding the present use rate of a processor and dropping the processing speed in accordance with the low use rate. SOLUTION: A notice interruption module 2 intercepts respective idle signals from OS 10. The respective intercepted idle signals are sent to a statistical module 4. The function of the statistical module 4 calculates the present frequency of the transmitted idle signal and decides the present use rate of CPU 1. A control module 6 dynamically adjusts the actual processing speed of CPU 1 based on the present use rate. Namely, the control module 6 modulates the processing speed of CPU 1 so that it becomes slow when the use rate is low. When the use rate of CPU 1 is high on the other hand, the control module 6 modulates the processing speed of CPU 1 so that it becomes fast and the work efficiency of a whole PC system is maintained.</p>
