Method involves directing a sensor arrangement (18) on object (15,16) moving along a predetermined path, having two different individual sensors (1,2), one sensor (1) detects object in predetermined sensor area, and the other sensor (2) detects speed of the object during its movement through the area. Individual signals generated are converted in a computer (13) to a single signal which indicates an expected standstill of the object. AN Independent claim is made for a detection arrangement.
