PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube which is capable of discriminating a color, etc., of a phosphor by a common HV(High Voltage) carbon pattern, and improving the efficiency in manufacture. SOLUTION: A screen panel 130 is fitted to a forward opening part of a glass tube body 110. An HV carbon film 160 is formed inside the screen panel 130, a phosphor film 170 is formed on its inner side, and an aluminum deposition film 180 is formed on its further inner side to form a fluorescent surface 150. Three window parts 200A, 200B, 200C are provided on an upper part of the HV carbon film 160. A phosphor is selectively applied to three window parts 200A, 200B, 200C according to the color and kind of the phosphor. The color and the kind of the phosphor are judged by visually checking from the outside of the screen panel 130 whether or not the phosphor is applied to the window parts 200A, 200B, 200C.
