A color photographic recording material comprises at least one light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and optionally a light insensitive layer which is disposed nearer the source of light than is the light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one of the layers contains particles of cerium(IV) oxide, zinc oxide or barium titanate with an average diameter of less than 300 nm.
