PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint to connect a piping on the non-rotor device side with a piping on the rotor device side, in which the fluid flowing in the pipings does not leak at the connection part. SOLUTION: A rotary joint 1 is installed between a joint 13 as a piping on the side with a non-rotor device 10 and a refrigerant supply pipe 23 as a piping on the side with a rotor device 20, and a seal plate 33 is fixed to the end face of the refrigerant supply pipe 23 while a float ring 34 is installed on the end face of the joint 13. The seal plate 33 is put in pressure contact with the float ring 34 so that the connection part of pipings is plane sealed, and a pressure approx. equal to the pressure of chlorofluorocarbon flowing in the pipings is impressed on the periphery of the piping connection part and the area in the proximity of it.
