<p>A rotatable plate (30) has a wide groove (38) to receive a boot binding and the two fit rotatably over a protruding circular guide post (55) on a base plate (50) secured to a snowboard. A square locking shaft (47) with a T-shaped handle (41) fits within a slidable sleeve (43) having four binding tabs (45) mating with the sides of the locking shaft. Screwing the sleeve into a lock base (42) with tapered walls (49) binds the binding tabs against the lock shaft to secure the locking shaft. The locking shaft (47) may be locked with the shaft inserted in any of the lock holes (59) in a lock ring (56) around the perimeter of the base plate to secure the boot binding at a desired angle to the snowboard. Alternatively, the locking shaft may be locked with the locking shaft out of the lock holes so that the binding rotates freely.</p> |
