Chamber for equilibrium dialysis of fat-soluble compounds, made up of two hollow members or cells (A,B) made of stainless steel or any other inert material, separated by a semi-permeable membrane (M) and toroidal joint (J) which ensures a tight seal; each cell has an internal cavity of hemispherical shape (O), with two openings (H) in the upper face which merge towards the centre of the hemisphere, one for filling the chamber with the solutions to be dialysed and buffer, and the other to allow the air displaced to escape; the assembled chamber is of cylindrical shape, with the lower face chamfered (Ch) so that it can be rested on a smooth surface without it rolling, and is set out horizontally on a holding platform which keeps the assembly together. It is for application in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and in general for the separation of any solute from a given solution, with particular application to those compounds which present problems of adhesion to other materials, e.g. plastics, such as the cyclosporins and other fat-soluble compounds. <IMAGE>
