The orientated plastic product is produced by the continuousextrusion method and has improved strength qualities. A chemicallyreactive polymer, monomer or any other compound is included in thematerial(s) die and one (multilayer) product is extruded ormoulded in molten state. It has built-in thermoplastic orientationcaused by a lateral force or elongating flow. In molten state areaction can be activated by additional heating which causes theformation of a structure with lateral links or at least causingthe reduction of the mobility of the molecules. In this way therelaxation time is increased and freezing of the permanentorientation becomes possible. The soft die can be drawn as earlyas when it is hot in circular and/or axial direction. The turnedout product is then calibrated and cooled in orientated state.91 claims
