The breaking separation device has spreading jaws (8,10), one fixed and the other moving, to engage in the boring formed by the annular component. There is also a spreading device to press the spreading jaws away from each other. The manner of breakage can be influence by making the circumferential surface of the spreading jaws in such a manner that the jaws engage with the inner surface of the boring only via a locally precisely defined part surface region or linear region.
