PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner carrying roller capable of surely obtaining an excellent image without causing the inconvenience such as the density lowering or the occurrence of fogging in successive printing and even in a process using a high speed process or a fine grain size toner. SOLUTION: This roller is constituted so as to carry a toner on the surface and form a thin layer of the toner, to bring into contact with or close contact with an image forming material in this state and to form a visual image on the surface of the image forming material by feeding the toner on the surface of the image forming material. In this case, the roller is composed so that an elastic layer 3 having conductivity is made to be furnished and a cross- linking resin containing an epoxy resin is applied on the surface of this elastic layer 3.
