Support roll frame for continuous metal, in particular, steel casting installations

The support roll frame is divided into straight or bent segments with roll carriers. Each roll carrier is provided with several rolls. Roll carriers in pairs form a stiff frame element. The frame element is designed as a carrier element with at least two parallel pipes (1-6) oriented across the direction of billet motion. The pipes are connected with one another by web plates welded between them. The outer pipes (1, 3, 4, 6) are provided with welded holder plates (11-14). Beams carrying the support rolls are welded between these holder plates. The pipes (1-6) additionally function as means for coolant supply to and return from the internally cooled support rolls.
