A bag visible in poor lighting conditions, includes a body having exterior sidewalls, an interior cavity, and a closure opening providing access to the interior cavity. A transparent window is provided in the exterior sidewalls of the body. The window has an exterior side and an interior side. An electroluminescent lamp is positioned immediately adjacent to the interior side of the window, such that light from the lamp is visible through the window.
