Strip guide and drive roll

The strip guide and drive roll for continuous casting installations consists of a core (2) with bearing journals (16), and shell which surrounds the core, is joined to the core, and together with the core forms a helical cooling water channel (7.1, 7.2) connected to axial supply channels in the bearing journals. The roll shell is transversely divided, with both sections (3, 4) joined to the core (2) in the division zone. At the end faces the core is flexibly sealed against the shell. The cooling water channels (7.1, 7.2) of the sections (3, 4) are joined to one another.
