METHOD OF DETERMINING PARAFFIN HYDROCARBONS IN ALPHA-OLEFINS

FIELD: analytical methods in petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: analytical sample (1-1.2 vol parts) is diluted by heptane (5 vol parts) and passed through chemisorbent fraction 0.06-0.1 mm at sample to sorbent volume ratio 1: (45-50). First eluate portion is collected, dried to constant weight that is finally recorded. As chemisorbent, silver nitrate- treated silica gel is used. Volume of the first eluate portion is at least 2.5 times as large as volume of the solution taken for chromatography. EFFECT: simplified procedure.
