PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress splashing of a transfer toner and production of a development ghost, to decrease the environmental dependence of developing characteristics and to regenerate a base tube without wasting, by forming a coating film containing a specified inorg. powder dispersed in a binder on the surface of a stainless steel base body. SOLUTION: A coating film 9 containing an inorg. powder 8 dispersed in a binder is formed on the surface of a stainless steel (SUS) tube 7, and the inorg. powder 8 has the opposite polarity to that of the binder for triboelectrification. The developing sleeve used is recovered, the coating film 9 is peeled, and a new coating film 9 is formed to use the sleeve again. As for the inorg. powder, for example, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2 ), tungsten disulfide (WS2 ), boron nitride(BN), etc., can be used. In this case, although triboelectric charges between the toner and the coating film usually increase with increase of friction times, the increase in the triboelectric charges can be suppressed by the presence of the inorg. powder having the opposite polarity in the coating film. Thus, the charge amt. is controlled to a const. level. Thereby, a developing ghost can be prevented. |
