PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the traffic-shaping system of an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) switch, in which production of a large scale hardware is reduced. SOLUTION: An associate storage memory section 6 provides an output of a corresponding number, when a time 10 denoted by a time notice counter 5 and a time registered in itself are coincident and provides a cell output permission. Simultaneously, an output interval table 7 informs an output interval of buffer numbers 11, outputted from the associate storage memory section 6 to an output time arithmetic section 8, and a succeeding output time calculated by the output time arithmetic section 8 is registered again in the associate storage memory section 6, so as to realize traffic shaping with respect to a plurality of buffers. |
