PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for indicating a bar code efficiently in a manner to obtain a good quality appearance to a writing utensil shaft such as a pencil or the like. SOLUTION: Under the condition that a die 14, on which characters, symbols, figures or the like are engraved, and a die 13, on which a bar code is engraved, are mounted together on a jig 11 and foils 18 and 19 made of metal, pigment or the like are arranged between the dies 13 and 14 and a writing utensil shaft such as a pencil or the like, the heated dies 13 and 14 are pushed simultaneously through the foils 18 and 19 against the writing utensil shaft, resulting in transferring the foils 18 and 19 to the surface of the writing utensil shaft so as to simulteneously form an indicating part of the characters, symbols, figures or the like by the foil 19 and an indicating part of a bar code by the foil 18. |
