Electric plug with two plug-halves

The electric plug has two plug halves (1,2). The first half (1) has at least a first electric contact (11) and a first housing (12). The second plug half (2) has at least one second contact (21) complementary to the first contact (11) and a second housing (22). The first housing (22) is made of two housing parts which can be moved together in the plug-in direction. A tensed spring (3) is arranged between the two housing parts such that the parts are moved together against the force of the spring (3). The first housing part carries the first contact (11) and at least one spring arm (4,5). The second housing (22) has at least one stop (6) such that the spring arm (4,5) runs against the stop when the two plug halves are connected. The second housing part has at least one cam (8,9) arranged such that the cam moves the spring arm from the stop (6) when the first and second housing parts are pushed together. The then freely movable first housing part is inserted automatically into the second plug half (2) by the spring force.
