PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration in visibility and characteristics by incoming light by building a liquid crystal display device into a sun visor, arranging this device in its surface and illuminating a liquid crystal display panel by utilizing the incoming light. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel 6 is arranged on the surface of the sun visor 2 which shields the direct rays of the sun and an operation panel 7 is arranged on the lower side thereof. A prism 19 of a trapezoidal shape on the inner side of the lighting window 3 of this sun visor 2 is formed with a reflection 20 on its slant by vapor deposition a metallic film. The incoming light L1 made incident from the lighting window 3 is reflected by this reflection surface 20 and is emitted to the rear surface of the liquid crystal display panel 6. A prism 21 of a wedge shape in section is arranged on the rear surface of the liquid crystal panel 6 and the incoming light L1 thereof is reflected by the slant and is emitted to the liquid crystal display panel 6. The prisms 19, 21 forms light guide mechanisms in such a manner. Then, the liquid crystal display panel 6 is illuminated by the incoming light L1 entering from the lighting window 3 to allow the check of the display contents. Further, a back light mechanism 24 is arranged on the rear surface of the prism 21 by holding a light diffusion plate 22 in-between. |
