PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a specific toner concentration or an image density regardless of the using environment of a device or property of the toner. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic device is, provided with residual toner detecting means 30 directly or indirectly detecting the toner empty state that the toner quantity inside the toner hopper is empty or below the specific value, a counter 22 counting toner replenishment frequency during the time from the toner empty state detected by the residual toner detecting means 30 to the next time of the toner empty state detected, and calculating means 23 for changing rotating speed and/or the rotating time of the toner replenishment roller so that replenishment quantity for each time attains a specific set range, based on count value of the replenishment frequency counter 22, and the toner replenishment quantity for each replenishment calculated from whole replenishment quantity fed from the toner cassette to the toner hopper at the time of becoming in a state of empty. Thus, the toner replenishment roller 5 is prevented from clogging, independent of the using environment for the device or property of the toner. |
