PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a void-containing polyester film large in the strength of a surface layer, good in drawability and useful for recording paper, etc., with improved productivity by improving a void-generating material contained in the void-containing polyester film, the sizes of the voids, the thickness of the film, etc. SOLUTION: This void-containing polyester film having many fine voids is obtained by at least monoaxially orienting the polymer mixture of a polyester with a thermoplastic resin incompatible with the polyester and contains many fine voids. Therein, the thermoplastic resin incompatible with the polyester contained in the film preferably has a major axis diameter of 1-50μm, a thickness of <=10μm and a major axis diameter/thickness ratio of 2-100. |
