PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mislanding caused by thermal deformation of the color selection device without employing bimetal part items in a supporting member. SOLUTION: This cathode ray tube is provided with a flat supporting member 20 for mounting color selection device on an inner surface of a phosphor panel. In the supporting member 20, a welded part 21 is welded on the color selection device, and a detent part 22 is engaged with the side of the phosphor panel to be secured therein, and a middle part 23 connects the welded part 21 to the detent part 22. A pair of folded lines 24 divides the supporting member 20 between the welded pert 21, the detent part 22 and the middle part 23, and is formed in parallel to each other at a predetermined angleθto a member width direction Y.
