Rapid acting hydraulic valve with piezo transducer

The hydraulic transducer consists of drive piston (5) with axial seal (6) between this and the housing (10) and a diaphragm (8) on the output side and sealed (9) to the housing on both sides. The volume of the fluid (7) held in the transducer element can be regulated by a compensating device in the housing (10). The device is made up of a sealed adjuster piston equipped with adjustable controlling drive for fluid adjustment purposes (7). When the piezo-actuator is operated, the piston (5) forces out a set volume of fluid and thus deflects the diaphragm (8) the same way as the piston moves thus sending the slide of the pilot valve to its opposite end setting. Seals (6) and (9) keep the fluid in sealed condition and at the same time keep the diaphragm sealed from the housing (10). The compensator maintains a defined starting point for the piston movement.
