PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even containers of complex shapes to be easily filled with heat storage material and to safely and efficiently perform the work of filling a heat storage container with heat storage material. SOLUTION: A heat storage container main body 1 is mounted on a heat storage container holder 2 having a heating means capable of controlling heating temperature, and is preheated to and held at temperatures not less than the melting point and below the boiling point of a heat storage material 9, and the inside of a space to be filled with the heat storage material is evacuated to a predetermined pressure, using an evacuation means having a pressure regulating function whereby pressure within the space 1a to be filled with the heat storage material can be controlled as necessary, so as to hold the inside of the space decompressed. Thereafter, the decompressed space to be filled with the heat storage material is filled, via a heat storage material filling valve 5c which can be automatically opened and closed and is watertight, with a predetermined amount of latent-heat type heat storage material 9 that has been heated to temperatures not less than its melting point and below its boiling point and stored in liquid form in a reservoir 5. |
