PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and precise transfer/charging system by a structure wherein a potential generated on the peripheral surface layer of a belt through deformation when the belt turns together with a tension belt, is fed to a charger. SOLUTION: A tension roller 114 moves a belt 110 in the direction of arrow 17 and turns freely. When the belt 110 is deformed around the radius of tension roller 114 through elasticity, an electric potential is generated on the surface in the nip region of belt 110 formed between a conductive member 2 and the belt 110. When passing on the tension roller 114, the belt 110 is stretched on the outer surface and compressed on the inner surface. When the belt 110 is bent around acute radius of tension roller 114, a high voltage (800-1500V) is generated and stored in the conductive member 2 before being fed through a wire to a charger 20. This arrangement realizes an inexpensive and precise transfer/charging system. |
