摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by variably magnifying editing information composed of an editing area and editing contents inside and outside of the editing area in main and sub scanning directions based on a variable power rate and performing interpolation so as to turn the oblique boundary line of the editing area to a straight line. SOLUTION: In the case of magnifying a specified area, the editing contents of color conversion or the like, the editing area and a magnification rate inputted through an editing information input part 5 are stored in a storage part 6. Then, with the upper left of an original as a reference, the sub scanning direction is magnified, original images are read and the main scanning direction of the read images is magnified by a variable magnification circuit inside an image processing part 3 and impressed to a working circuit inside the image processing part 3. In this case, in the case of magnifying a coordinate value for indicating the specified area in the sub scanning direction, area data on a line increased corresponding to the magnification rate are generated by linear interpolation and the area data of a maximum paper sheet size are outputted to the image processing part 3. Thus, even when the inside and outside of the specified area of the original images magnified in the main and sub scanning direction are edited by specified contents, the oblique boundary line is not made stepwise and the image quality is improved.
