<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is ozoneless and reduced in voltage and cost by using carriers obtained in such a manner that iron powder having strong saturation magnetization is turned into cores, as magnetic carriers and specifying the grain diameters of the carriers. SOLUTION: When a photoreceptor 12 is rotated and residual toner reaches the position of a developing device 16, the sticking force of the residual toner to the photoreceptor 12 is made weak, so that the residual toner is attracted by the magnetic carriers 18b, to be recovered to the developing device 16, as a result. At this time, as the magnetic carriers 18b, the carriers obtained by turning the iron powder having the strong saturation magnetization into the cores are used. The grain diameters of the carriers are set 30μm<=70μm. Thus, the generation of the following problems is prevented; the photoreceptor 12 is scratched by the carriers between a recording paper and the photoreceptor 12, because the carriers 18b are stuck to the photoreceptor 12, further, the thickness of a film is locally reduced by the scratch of the photoreceptor 12 and a pinhole is generated by an abnormal discharge from a contact electrifier, in a place where a withstanding voltage is decreased, so that a failure in electrification occurs in a pinhole part and a defect such as a horizontal streaky image occurs.</p> |
