METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FILTERING, IN TERMS OF TIME, OF NOISE AT INSIDE OF SEQUENCE OF DIGITAL IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time filtering method for the image of the sequence of the noisy digitized image which is performed with short delay to reduce residual noises without weakening discontinuous edges and reduce noise peaks, and never erases a small object in motion. SOLUTION: This method consists of a stage wherein a current anti-causal sample is evaluated by the anti-causal linear combination of a a current filtered causal sample and a subsequent anti-causal noisy sample so as to reproduce a noisy sample corresponding to a pixel at a specific place in the current image. The samples are weighted with a function of causal gain magnification and a coefficeint of anti-causal continuity.
