Lateral transfer of load from conveyor to secondary conveyor

The system for the lateral transfer of a load running on a conveyor (6) onto a secondary conveyor (2,2') comprises a rotating disc with a vertical axis (ZZ'). The disc upper face (300) extends in a horizontal plane slightly lower than the load support plane (N) on the conveyor. The disc can be tipped forwards or rearwards so that the disc raises the load by its rear or front edge and ensures transfer onto one or other of its sides. The endless belt conveyor comprises two belts (6) which extend each side of the disc. Horizontal rotating rollers (5), whose axes are parallel to the direction of advance of the conveyor, are located on either side of the disc and assist in the lateral transfer of the load. A retractable support piece can be aligned on top of the disc before and during transfer.
