PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable miniaturization of an indoor machine of a type wherein the number of revolutions of a compressor is fixed, by providing indoor and outdoor machines with modulation-demodulation circuits connected to connection lines for supplying a DC power and by executing communication between indoor and outdoor control circuits by these connection lines. SOLUTION: A commercial power supply 9 is received by an indoor machine 18 and supplied to an outdoor machine 19 by connection lines 28-a and 28-b between the indoor machine 18 and the outdoor machine 19. A DC power circuit 25 is provided in the outdoor machine 19 and the DC power of the DC power circuit 25 is supplied to an indoor control circuit 14 through connection lines 29-a and 29-b so as to make it operate. Communication between the indoor control circuit 14 and an outdoor control circuit 24 is conducted by superposition on the connection lines 29-a and 29-b for supplying the DC power, through the intermediary of a modulation-demodulation circuit 27-a on the indoor machine side and a modulation-demodulation circuit 21-b on the outdoor machine side which are connected to the connection lines 29-a and 29-b. According to this constitution, the indoor machine 18 of a type wherein the number of revolutions of a compressor is fixed can be miniaturized. |
