<p>The present invention relates to (1) Clathrate hydrate inhibitors which comprises a macromolecular compound in which 5-15 membered ring pendant is directly connected to the polymer main chain through one of the atoms within the ring, e.g., polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl piperidinone, polyvinyl caprolactam etc., modified with vinyl monomers; or a macromolecular compound which is obtained by copolymerizing monomers in which 5-15 membered ring pendant is directly connected to the ethylenically unsaturated group through one of the atoms within the ring, e.g., vinylpyrrolidinone, vinylcaprolactam and C3-C6 alkyl (meth) acrylate; and (2) the method of inhibiting the formation of Clathrate hydrates using it.</p> |
