PURPOSE: To provide a speed controller which can stably and accurately control the motor of an optical deflector in a wide speed range. CONSTITUTION: A speed controller compares the speed and the phase by the speed signal 4 detected by the rotary detector 3 of optical deflectors 1, 2 and a reference signal 5, and controls the applied voltage to a motor 2 in response to the compared amount according to a pulse width, and comprises memory means 7 for storing the target number of revolutions of the motor 2 and the pulse width corresponding to the target number of revolutions. |
