<p>The proposed aircraft with equalising controls comprises a flexible shaped wing (3) mounted on an airframe (1). The wing (3) is designed as a closed wing of 'tandem' aerodynamic design and has front and aft lifting surfaces (4, 5) joined together and in the shape respectively of forward- and backward-pointing arrows. The airframe (1) has a longitudinal beam (6) and a front pair and a rear pair (7 and 8 respectively) of opposing lateral beams. Each lateral beam (7) of the front pair is secured at its first end (9) in the nose section (11) of the longitudinal beam (6) and forms a leading edge (12) of the front lifting surface (4) of the wing (3), each lateral beam (8) of the rear pair is secured by its first end (13) in the tail section (15) of the longitudinal beam (6) and by its second end (18) on the lower surface of the appropriate lateral beam (7) of the front pair and forms the leading edge (20) of the rear lifting surface (5) of the wing (3).</p> |
