A double-walled vehicle door with a twin-cable window raiser prefitted on a base plate (4) which can preferably be used in a modular-construction vehicle door, in which the base plate (4) is designed to seal an aperture in the inner door panel. The lower free end (5b') of the vehicle door guide rail (5b) on the B-post side does not project into the securing region (overlap region) of the inner door panel and the base plate, while the lower free end (5a') of the guide rail (5a) on the A-post side projects into or beyond said securing region. The upper edge (22) of the aperture in the inner door panel runs at at least a down ward angle alpha , in relation to the extent of the side rail, towards the A-post such that, when the base plate is pivoted about an imaginary point S through the angle alpha towards the side rail, the lower free end of the guide rail (5a) on the A-post side is lifted over the securing regions.
