摘要 FIELD: electrical engineering; life tests of lamps during their manufacture and service. SUBSTANCE: device has power supply, starter, and measuring circuit which is set up of a c voltage meter connected in parallel with lamp electrodes and having its leads connected to movable contacts of double-pole two-position switch incorporating series resistor inserted between unlike-polarity fixed contacts interconnected in pairs. Predicting parameter characterizing operating time of lamp under test is ratio of voltage drops across one of lamp electrodes during alternate connection of each lead of this electrode to power conductor through series resistor while other lead of this electrode is connected directly to power conductor. Method involves construction of calibration curve according to results of preliminary random tests of lamps of particular type conducted under particular conductions which shows mentioned prediction parameter as function of operating time. For determining operating time of any lamp of particular type under particular conditions, mentioned parameter is measured and operating time is determined by calibration curve. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy and validity of measurement results, enlarged functional capabilities.
