The invention concerns a multiple cam (5, 6) which can be used in a modular manner as a structural component for joining assembled camshafts. The multiple cam is produced in a plurality of stages from a sheet metal blank (1) by profiling, shaping and welding. The invention further concerns processes for producing multiple cams according to the invention.
