PURPOSE: To discriminate stable high power light and low power light at fast response and to prevent production of scattered light when test irradiation is performed. CONSTITUTION: The output power of light to irradiate an optical information recording medium (C) is controlled by preliminarily performing test irradiation. A light-absorbing material 32 is formed on a mount 21 which holds the recording medium (C) and the light-absorbing material 32 is irradiated with test light when test irradiation is performed. |
