PURPOSE: To freely connect and attach/detach terminal equipment to and to/from a network. CONSTITUTION: An environment setting control part 11 of a portable system 14 sends the setting request of an internet protocol(IP) address through a request part 9 to the network. An address assignment control part 5 of an automatic IP address assigning server 15 receives this request through a request receiving part 6, receives an idle IP address while referring to an address managing data base 2 and sends it through a request response part 7. The environment setting control part 11 of the portable system 14 receives that IP address through a response receiving part 10 and registers it on a network environment setting file 13 by using an environment setting part 12. Similarly, after the IP address in the address managing data base is deleted by the address assignment control part 5 according to the deleting request of the IP address from the environment setting part 11, the environment setting part 12 deletes the IP address in the network environment setting file 13. |
