Substd. piperidine derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. R2, R3 = H, cycloalkyl contg. up to 8C or R; and either R1 = Q and R4 = T; or R1 = Q1 and R4 = T'; Q = alkenyl or alkynyl (both contg. up to 10C and up to 3 multiple bonds, opt. substd. by one or more halo or R), 1-6C haloalkyl (contg. up to 4 F or Cl) or Z-D; Z = 1-6C alkylene; D = furyl, thienyl, pyrryl, isoxazolyl, oxazolyl, thiazolyl, imidazolyl, pyrazolyl, thiadiazolyl, benzofuryl, indolyl, isoindolyl, benzimidazolyl, benzthiazolyl, benzothiophenyl, benzisoxazolyl, quinolyl, isoquinolyl, quinazolinyl, benzpyrimidinyl or acridinyl (all opt. substd. by one or more W) or pyridyl (substd. by one or more W); W = halo, R, OR, SR, CF3, CN or NO2; T = a gp. of formula (i)-(iii); T' = a gp. of formula (i); Q' = benzyl, benzoyl (both opt. ring substd. by one or more halo, R, OR, SR, CF3, OCF3 or SCF3), H, 1-10C alkyl, CH2OH, pyridyl, or pyridylmethyl; R5 = H and R6 = SOnCH2Ar; or R5+R6 = -O-C(R7)(R9)-C(R8)(R10)-O- or -O-C(R11)(R12)-O-; Ar = phenyl substd by R' and R"; n = 0-2; R' = halo, R, OR, SR, halo, 1-6C haloalkyl or 1-6C haloalkyloxy (both contg. up to 6F and/or Cl); R" = H or as R'; R7, R8 = H or halo; R9-R12 = halo; m, p = 1-3; X = S, SO or SO2.
