PURPOSE: To enhance efficiency by arranging a shielding plate whose cross section in the direction perpendicularly crossing to the axis of a first filament arranged in the center of a light transmitting sealed container having an infrared ray reflecting film and expanded part such as globular part on the tip side is formed in almost circular arc. CONSTITUTION: A globular part 3 whose center is positioned or a rotating ellipse body whose focus is positioned on an axis 1a of a glass bulb 2 serving as a light transmitting sealed container of an electric bulb 1 is formed on the end side of the glass bulb 2, and a cylindrical part 4 having an optional shape is formed on the base end side. A visible light transmitting infrared ray reflecting film 5 is formed on the outside or inside on the surface of the bulb 2, and a first filament 6 is arranged in the center of the expanded part 3 and a second filament 7 is arranged in the cylindrical part 4. A shielding plate 11 is faced to the filament 6 and is formed so that the cross section in the direction perpendicularly crossing to the axial direction becomes part of circular arc and the filament 6 is arranged in almost the center. Radiated infrared rays are efficiently reflected by the film 5 and the shielding plate 11.
