摘要 <p>The invention relates to a glycosaminoglycan derivative in which a compound having an allyl group at one end is bonded to the reducing end sugar of a glycosaminoglycan via an aminoalkyl bond or an acid amide bond, a glycosaminoglycan-bonded polyacrylamide gel which is a copolymer composed of said glycosaminoglycan derivative and acrylamide, and a process for the identification of a glycosaminoglycan-degrading enzyme which comprises electrophoresing a specimen containing the glycosaminoglycan-degrading enzyme by using the above-mentioned gel as a carrier, after the electrophoresis, subjecting the carrier to an enzymatic reaction and then detecting the degradation of the glycosaminoglycan bonded and fixed to the carrier. The electrophoresis using the copolymer gel composed of a novel glycosaminoglycan derivative and acrylamide enables the identification of a glycosaminoglycan-degrading enzyme such as chondroitin sulfate-degrading enzyme since a glycosaminoglycan such as chondroitin sulfate, which can be hardly fixed to a gel in a conventional manner due to its low molecular weight, is fixed to the copolymer gel.</p>
