摘要 PURPOSE: To decide accurately the position of each event of scintillation repetitively by presuming the position of the scintillation (event), deciding the expectation value of the energy output from each photomultiplier(PM) tube responding, deciding the position of the event for the position of each PM through setting of a scintillate position optimizing function, and setting the obtained position on a repetitive loop. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear medical image forming device 11 includes a scintillator crystal 13, a gamma camera head 12 having a plurality of PM's 14, and a calculating circuit 16 to presume the uncorrected position Xμ, Yμof each event of scintillation. A light quantum being incident via a path 18 runs against a crystal 13 to cause an event. The calculating circuit 16 also decides the total measured energy Zμand emits Xμ, Yμ, Zμto a terminal 19. A correcting circuit 21 decides the expectation value of the energy from each PM analytically on the basis of the position of the event for the PM. This is followed by setting of a position optimizing function which decides the X-Y position of the event, and the decided X-Y position is set on a repetitive loop so that corrected Xc , Yc are decided, and this is passed through an image processor 22 and displayed on a monitor 24.
