PURPOSE:To facilitate disassembling and reassembling by providing an opening of a shape simultaneously including two projected tip circles when the outermost tip circle of the second-stage gear of a second-stage rectangular-axes reduction gear part and the tip circle of the third-stage gear of a third-stage parallel-axes reduction gear part are projected to the projected plane of an output shaft. CONSTITUTION:This rectangular-axes mechanical reduction gear is provided with an input shaft 202, an output shaft 216, a first-stage parallel-axes reduction gear part including a first-stage gear 210 engaged with a first-stage pinion 209, a second-stage rectangular-axes reduction gear part including a bevel gear 213 for changing the rotation direction by 90 deg. to a bevel pinion 212 and a third-stage parallel-axes reduction gear part including a third-stage gear 215 engaged with a third-stage pinion 214. In a gear box 205, the reduction gear parts of the first-stage to the third-stage are housed, and the whole appearance is formed in a nearly rectangular parallelopiped form, and the six planes of the rectangular parallelopiped are integrally formed, and the opening 207 simultaneously including the tip circles of the bevel gear 213 of the second- stage rectangular-axes reduction gear part and the third-stage parallel-axes reduction gear part and the third-stage gear 215 is formed in the plane in which the output shaft 216 of the gear box 205 projects.
