摘要 PURPOSE:To attain efficient coding by selecting a geometrical reduction rate to be the unity in the case of fractal coding using automorphism of an image and designating other domain cell or applying image conversion operator depending whether or not a designated domain cell forms a reference loop to a designated range cell. CONSTITUTION:A range cell (Ri) is designated to a part on a pattern of an input image mu from the upper left part sequentially and an undesignated domain cell (Di) is designated from a domain pool DP corresponding to the Ri. Depending whether or not the Di is a cell of a reference loop, other undesignated Di is designated and when not, an image conversion operator taui is applied to the Di and since a geometrical reduction rate is the unity, only quantitative operators Ti are calculated. Then depending whether or not all Di are designated in the pool DP corresponding to the designated Ri, a pair of the Di minimizing the distance and the operator Ti is found out, and when not, an undesignated Di is designated. Then the reference between the Di and Ri is stored in a memory and depending whether or not all Ri in the image mu are designated, the process is terminated or a succeeding Ri is designated. Thus, the coding is implemented efficiently.
