PURPOSE: To execute non-linear processing of an input signal having a change to be controlled in accordance with its amplitude by providing a segmenting circuit and a non-linear segment amplifier circuit for multiplying a segment gain coefficient corresponding to a shared again coefficient by each segment of an input signal and applying a controllable signal to the amplitude semgent of the input signal. CONSTITUTION: In the case of a segment gate circuits 11 to 15, voltages V0 to V5 are applied from the terminals of resistor stages 21 to 25 for receiving the supply of current I to a gate input part 12. The minimum value V0 of these voltage levels is the reference voltage Ybref of a black level and the maximum voltage V5 is equal to V0+I* (R21+R22+R23+R24+R25). A gate circuit Ix supplies a signal Yx . The signal Yx is equal to Y; when Y; <=V(X-1) and equal to Vx when Yi>=Vx . The 4th input 4 of each of differential amplifiers 31 to 35 receives the mean value HMa of bias voltage levels HM1 to HM5. Each bias voltage to a segment of optional length is weighted by a coefficient depending upon the relative length of the segment. |
