Putting a dog on a leash means fastening the snap hook of the leash on the collar in a more or less bent posture according to the size of the animal. Walking the dog by the collar means permanent bending. The collar for which the patent application is made consists of an approximately 1800 mm long round cord which runs between two support plates and half of which consists of round rubber reinforced by textile fibres. The complete unit is surrounded by an approximately 1 mm thick leather casing with buckle. This collar then affords secure holding of the dog in an upright posture when the leash is extended. The length of the leash of approximately 900 mm also guarantees a certain safety when walking the dog.
