In order, in the case of a brick which is intended for erecting masonrywork and is provided with vertically running through-passages which, at least in part, have a cross-section suitable for filling with a filler, to achieve the capacity for simple and cost-effective production and processing as well as universal usage and a high degree of reliability, said brick has longitudinal members (2) which extend over its length, are provided with non-fillable small perforations (7) and can be provided with mortar, and also has transverse webs (3) which connect said longitudinal members and are arranged in a unit-spacing along the length of said members. The longitudinal members (2) and transverse webs (3) bound sealing ducts (6) which are arranged in rows and match the unit-spacing. <IMAGE>
