PURPOSE: To open/close a drill chuck with a holding ring held by hand by arranging an axially movable connection member between the holding ring and an adjustment ring when the holding ring is rotated opposite to the adjustment ring. CONSTITUTION: When a locking ring 10 is fixed and a holding ring 14 is rotated, a touch head 20 is moved up to a left stopper on an inclined passage of an adjustment cam in a connection member 15 since an adjustment ring 8 is still fixed by the locking ring 10. On a right stopper, a holding ring 14 is moved in the axial direction so that the locking ring 10 releases the adjustment ring 8. As a result, the adjustment ring 8 is driven by the touch head through the stopper of the holding ring 14 if the holding ring 14 is further rotated. Finally, a chuck body 1 is also rotated in the same direction, and an adjustment spring is pulled until the drive of the chuck body is completed at the stopper. |
