PURPOSE:To make the mechanism of a device for detecting stripping-off of a Teflon tube from a roller which is used for the fixing device of a copying machine, etc., and made of rubber, etc., coated with the Teflon tube simpler. CONSTITUTION:The title detecting device 6 constituted of a stripping-off detecting body 7 and photosensor 8 is provided on the outside of the maximum threading width of a rubber roller 3. A material which has excellent release characteristics against silicone rubber, etc., and hardness equivalent to the surface hardness of the roller 3 is used for the rotating body 9 of the detecting body 7 which is brought into contact with the roller 3. When the diameter of the roller 3 increases due to a tube 5 which is stripped off from the roller 3 and moves to one edge side of the roller 3, the rotating body 9 is pressed down in the rotating direction of the roller 3 and a pin 12 coupled with a supporting member 10 rotates and gets into the photosensor 8. In response to the pin 10, the photosensor 8 detects the stripping off of the tube 5. |
